French Settee Circa1860 Louis XVI Revival

This hand carved French two-seater canapé à dossier droit (straight-back sofa) from the Second period (c.1860), reflecting the Louis XVI revival style that reimagined the neoclassical grace of the late 18th century (circa 1760–1790).

This settee has been traditionally upholstered, using horse hair and all natural materials, with a new full feather cushion. The fabric is a 100% cotton and by British company Ian Mankin.

The wood has been revived but making sure to keep all it’s patina and old charm.
